Mesa Temple Trip

Spencer and I normally go to the Snowflake, AZ temple because its the one we are assigned to and its only 1 hr 45 min away. But everyone in our ward has told us we are silly and we need to go down to the Mesa, AZ temple because its warmer, prettier, and there is more to do like shopping and dinning. So we took their advice last weekend.

It was so nice down there. Flagstaff had a high of 70 which is really nice, but Mesa had a high of 92 which was hot. But we loved it. There was green grass and flowers. And tons and tons of cacti. The Mesa temple is really beautiful.

Then we decided to try some shopping. There are a million malls in the Mesa/Phoenix area so we tried one out. It is called Santan Village Shopping Center, and its like gateway with outside shops. The funny thing is we didn't end up buying anything but we looked at most of the shops and had intentions of buying something. We just enjoyed the weather, an orange julius, and relaxing. We had dinner at a fun place called Kona out on their patio. Spencer just kept saying that we should just stay here for a few more hours because the weather was so nice. By that time it was in the low 80's and perfect. It was a nice fun saturday in the sun.

  1. Love the beauty of the desert. And it is kinda cool to be able to fluctuate between snow and summer every few days - although it may be hard to know how to dress in the morning. I love how you guys are adventurous and experiencing Arizona. So fun to be tourists in your home state!
