This was a big trip for us. It was Finlee's first time going to lake powell, but it was also our first time going back to Lake Powell since the boating accident over a year ago. There were good moments and a few sad moments. But overall, it was wonderful to be with family, enjoying the houseboat, swimming, boat rides up the beautiful canyons, yummy food and games.
Finlee loved the water, splashed and had fun, but got pretty cold after 15 minutes, just like the rest of us.
The boat ride was really calming, especially for Finlee!
He even went on a super slow tube ride with Spencer. It was hard to know if he liked it or not cause all he did was sit there and look straight ahead.
Sunday night we did a message in a bottle. We took time to write messages to the women we lost, put them in a bottle with some rocks then dropped it in the lake. It was sweet taking time to think of them and what I would say to them if they were here. We miss them terribly.
Wish we could have been there with you guys. I liked the notes in a bottle idea - was that Tiffany's or Laura's idea? I also loved Finlee's mustache pirate swimsuit. Too cute!
