The Final Product...well, sort of

I know a while back I already posted before and after pictures of our new paint job on the house. These pictures are to show before and after all the stuff we have tried to do in the yard. We are done, for this year, but next year we need to figure out grass or rock for the remainder of the front lawn. It's been a busy summer but we are happy with how things have turned out.
Before-2012
 After tree trimmed

After house painted, wall against the house, wall around front tree, dry riverbed, more flowers, etc.

A little herb garden up front!

Wall around some  wildflowers and a stone path going around the side of the house to the back.
(The stone path was technically not buried in the picture, but it is done now!)
Raised bed for garden. We had to put the fencing around because some wild Javalina were getting into the garden.
We put in the path from out back porch to a little fire pit patio last year so this year we fixed the patio.

Labor Day weekend in Utah

With a quick turn around after our lake powell weekend, we headed up to Utah to enjoy being with family. We got to go to the U of U game with Finlee  (he loved watching the game on Spencer's lap), going to the Jordan River temple, participating in the Rae of Light 5K in honor of Mom, Jess and Val, BBQ with both our families combined, Family pictures, Bountiful Triathlon, and hiking. Our trips home are always fun filled and packed, yet we did better this trip at giving ourselves some down time as well.

His first time laying in grass, he wasn't so sure about it!!

We got to go see the new headstone for mom and jess. It was beautiful!

On the drive home we drove through Zions which was fun, then we stopped at Horseshoe bend just south of the Glen Canyon Dam at Lake Powell.
