7 MONTHS!!!!

Another monthly update on our chubby Finlee!
He loves any of the baby food we give him.
He rolls everywhere.
Starting to try to crawl. Not quite there but he is getting to things.
Sitting up pretty much on his own.
Loves when his dad comes home to play.
Loves songs and books.
The mohawk is starting to flop over.
Loves the monsoon rains as much as mom and dad.
Loves watching the world cup with dad.
Loves being startled or surprised.
Sucks on his lips most of the time.
Loves pulling soft things up to his face like blankets or stuffed animals.

He's growing too fast

This boy is growing and changing too fast. It's tricky business this parent thing. You want them to reach all the milestones: smiling, talking, rolling, crawling, sitting, walking etc. But at the same time you don't want them to change leave all the fun baby days behind. I guess you just have to enjoy the present time you have with them and do all you can to remember the past, the growth, and the sweet moments. I sure do love this boy and the fun days with him.

Fun with the Johnstons!

We love having family come down to visit and spend time with us. The Johnstons came down for the first time, except Laura and Makai came down after Finlee was born, and we had lots of fun with them. We went to see indian ruins at Wukoki and Wapatki Nationals Monuments, swimming, hiking, eating out, movies and popcorn, etc. It was a ton of fun and I hope they enjoyed their time in Flagstaff!

We also took time to remember Mom, Jess, and Val on the one year anniversary. What a crazy feeling to have already made it a year without these amazing women. We were able to watch the funeral video with plenty of tears, look at pictures and make some yummy mom recipes. It was great to be together for this day.

Green River: Camping and Triathlon

Another Triathlon for Spencer and this time in Green River, Utah. They cancelled the swim because the river was too high and possibly dangerous. But he decided he still wanted to do it. So we drove up the night before, camped out and then enjoyed a fun filled Saturday.

I missed the start of the bike because they started 15 minutes early and I was still getting Finlee and myself ready. But as usual, Spencer did great. After doing this triathlon- well really duathlon- he said, "Man, I could keep going. That wasn't hard at all!" He's crazy, but I love coming to watch him.

He got first in his age group, but he was the only one in it because a lot of people didn't come because of the cancelled swim. But still, he did great with an awesome time.

Since we were so close to Arches in Moab, we decided to do some hiking. We've already hiked Delicate Arch so this time we drove around to see the other arches. Finlee did good and looked so cute in his hat in the hiking backpack.

 Tired boys!

Across the street from the Arches entrance there is this super steep sand hill and even though Spencer was spent from running/biking a triathlon and then hiking around Arches, he had to climb it.
