7 months along!!

We tried to take some baby bump pictures outside in our backyard, but it kinda worked kinda not. Lighting is something I need to work with and practice more on the camera.
As for the pregnancy, things are going well. It is amazing how much easier this pregnancy has seemed because last time I was teaching my first year and man was I tired and stressed out. This one has been nice because I work a little each week, have time at home, and pay more attention to this little guys movements.

He is a wiggler like his older brother. Maybe a tiny bit less, but he still is moving around a lot. He's got a good schedule down so I know I can pretty much count on feeling him move about every 2 or 3 hours (its usually when I am ready for my next snack or small meal).

I've been having doctors appointments every 2 weeks now so it has been so nice to go in more often and hear that good heartbeat. Next week we have another ultrasound just to take another good look at him, and Spencer and I are so excited to see him again. Ultrasounds are the best. The beginning of November I will go in every week and get stress tests done.

I am really looking forward to that time because I am already getting antsy and nervous. My prayers have doubled if not tripled during the day. I don't think I have prayed more in my entire life than now. If I feel like it has been a while since I have felt him, I just pray that he is ok or for him to move so I know he is ok. But these prayers haven't just been for the baby; for Spencer and I to be ready for this little man to come and join our life (physically, emotionally, etc.), for our family members who are still grieving and missing loved ones, for Spencer when he's missing is Mom and sister terribly, etc.

These last couple of months are going to be filled with making freezer meals, getting the house ready and stocked up, making a few baby gifts for some friends, a few baby things for us, christmas/birthday/anniversary planning and gift buying, and much more. I know he needs to stay inside me for as long as he can, but man we want him here so badly.

End Note: Baby names are narrowed down to Lee, Finley (Finlee), West or Destin (recently added because our Nephews love the name. It is after the city we went to in Florida just month ago!) We'll keep you posted.

Did I say we like hiking?

Last spring, Spencer and I did the Kachina Trail hike and loved it so we decided to go back to see if the Aspen trees had started to change color. It was a beautiful drive up and the hike ended up being really nice. It was a bit chilly because there still was some snow on the ground but with our nice new hiking shoes and jackets, we were just fine.

Sorry no pictures of us there because the lighting was hard. The sun was setting by the time we got to the really yellow trees so it was hard to get a picture with some things in the sun and some in the shade.

As the sun was setting it was so pretty to see all the orange and red light on everything.

Halloween Decor

This year I was so excited to start decorating for Halloween, but I made myself wait until at least October 1st to get anything out.

This house is much bigger than our last house so there was more space to decorate. Luckily I found some great finds at the Dollar Store and was able to fill in the house a little more.

Hiking around to see Picture Canyon

We started this hike a few months ago with some friends but we didn't get far because we began to lose light. So this time, Spencer was determined to find the waterfall he had barely glimpsed last time when sneaking off while the rest of us headed for the car.
The last time we were here it was much more green everywhere from all the great rain we got over the summer, but we did find the little stream and there still was some green.

So we hiked along the stream trying to work our way up to the waterfall, not sure if what we were following was really a trail or not. And keep in mind that I was about 30 weeks along. I didn't over do it and Spencer helped me along the whole time, but man when that boy gets excited about something, me being his silly wife tends to tag along not sure what he will get us into.
We finally found it, but realized that we had 15 minutes to get back to our car and back home so Spencer could go to the Priesthood session of General Conference. That's where it got kinda crazy. But we did get some fun pictures.

Family Trip to Destin, Florida

At the beginning of this year, all us Jackman girls planned a girls trip to Destin, Florida since all the boys had a fun Alaska fishing trip a few years ago. We got many of the details set and paid for, but after the accident we didn't know what to do. Going on the trip without mom and Jess seemed strange. After thinking and talking things through, we decided to still go on the trip but to bring our spouses.

The trip was so perfect. The weather was warm and humid, but pretty enjoyable actually. The beach house was beautiful. It was right on the white sandy beach and decorated so nicely. We loved the beach house. Enjoy some fun pictures of it.

This was Spencer's and my bedroom.

Mike and Laura got the honeymoon suite!!

And poor Stacy had the twin bedroom. Chris was gone in Afghanistan til Thursday so she had the room all to herself but then he joined up with us.

The view off the back porch.

View from behind the house.

The water was so nice and warm. We got in the water almost every day. The boys were in there a ton!

They body boarded for 2 days straight and most of the other days. They really tired themselves out.

Each night we went out to dinner to someplace fun around town.
Monday- P F Changs
Tuesday- Pepito's Cantina Mexican Grill
Wednesday- Tuscany Italian
Thursday- Hard Rock Cafe
Friday- Jasmin Thai

Tuesday night we had the coolest thunderstorm. We were going to play games or watch a movie that night but we ended up turning off all the lights in the beach house and watching the storm for about 3 hours. There was constant lightening so Spencer and I finally figured out how to capture some of the lightening on the camera. Pretty cool. It was the most amazing storm any of us had seen.

One day the boy's rented a surf board while us girls had a spa day with massages, pedicures and manicures. They said it was harder than they thought it was going to be but the waves weren't too big. But they still had fun.

While on the trip I was 28 weeks pregnant so here is a picture of the ever growing bump. This trip was perfect for the pregnancy. I got a pregnancy massage, my first massage ever, and it was really relaxing. Also, just being able to sleep in, lounge around the house, read, swim, talk, eat, etc was perfect.

Another day the boys went on an ocean boat fishing trip while the girls shopped and saw a movie. They had so much fun, got squid guts all over themselves, and came home with some fish to grill up the next day for lunch.

They didn't catch the Barracuda but Mike pretty much caught a shark but his line broke. They saw things like seals, dolphins, shark, and tons of crazy fish.

On the last day we swam in the ocean, floated down Turkey Creek (super fun but super cold) and went on a sunset cruise on a sailboat. Perfect way to end out fun week.

The boat on the far left was the one we rode.

If you look closely at the boat in the middle of the picture you can see two dolphin's in the water. It was hard to catch a picture of them, but they were all around us during our cruise.

Again, two dolphins in the middle of the picture if you look closely.

Thank you to Spencer's dad for putting a lot of this trip together and providing it for us. We sure missed you Mom and Jess, but we hope that you were there right along with us having fun! We love you!
