Pictures with Mom

You're going to think that I am silly but a lot of our pictures are either of Finlee or Spencer and Finlee because I tend to be the one who takes the pictures. But I wanted some pictures of me with Finlee so here's a couple.

House Makeover

We've really enjoyed living down here in Flagstaff, but i'm not going to lie, I didn't like the outside of our house. First off, you couldn't even see the house because of the giant spruse out front. Second the color really wasn't so great. It was tan which is find but the trim was maroon so it made the tan look light pink. The yard also wasn't that great, but that was kinda our fault. Last year we were doing so many things inside that we were too worn out for the outside. Plus there wasn't much to take care of. 

So this year we decided to tackle the outside. The first step was to either trim or cut down the tree. After getting a quote from a tree guy, we decided to trim it and see what we thought.

Spencer asked why I included two pictures. Because to get a picture of the front you have to stand to the side of the house, so frustrating and silly.

AFTER- just the tree trimmed- so  much better.

Now for the really good before and after pictures. We decide to get the house painted. We considered just painting the trim and doors white so get rid of the maroon but then we found a paint guy for really cheap so we just went for it.

While we were at it we decided to change the light fixtures and the numbers. We love how it turned out.

We have been working really hard in the yard too but those pictures will have to come later. It is taking a while to do it all.

More Funny Pictures of This Boy

Finlee was really fussy one night and no matter what we did he would fuss and cry. So we took him into his room to change him into his PJ's and put him on the changing table. He calmed down instantly so we buckled him in and let him hang out. Then we noticed it was quiet so we went in and found him asleep but with his hand up because he always likes to play with the bars. Silly boy.

 I love putting him in the boppy because he is just so stinkin cute in it.

 He's such a trooper when we go hiking. He loves looking around and usually ends up falling asleep.

 The other day he was being so funny in his saucer thingy. Enjoy the many faces of Finlee.

5 Months and Growing

Finlee is already 5 months. I can't believe how fast the months and weeks keep speeding by. We still love having this silly boy around. This last month he has continued to reach some fun milestones. 

Chews on everything.

Smiles big when talked to or sang to (and sometimes you'll get a little flirty flicker of the eyebrows if you are lucky).

Giggles hard when tickled or surprised.

Loves playing with toys (in his saucer gym thingy, ones you hand him, or ones put in front of him and he has to reach to get them).

Hates the bottle right now.

Rolls from tummy to back, sometimes (other times he just eats his hands).

Getting close to rolling from back to tummy (pulls legs up to chest and rolls onto his side...he's getting there).

Talks (its more of grunting than talking these days).

Loves movement.

Likes attention (squeals until he gets it).

Sleeps so good at night.

Likes standing up on his feet.

Likes to spit and blow bubbles.

Went swimming for the first time and did great.

Sticks out tongue, especially when talking.

Sucks on bottom or upper lip.

Sucks on left hand fingers or chews on right hand thumb.

Hair is growing back but only in the middle in a Mohawk sort of style.

 Finlee loves scratching things.
